Long time MVH friend and collector Grizlli Atom recently approached me
with this amazing illustration he made of the MVH DX Characters. Ive
been a huge fan of Kevin's illustrations and Tattoo work and was
honored when he chose my characters for his newset project.
In his words :
Ok so I'm thinking 15''w x 6''t, Heavy stock print. I'm thinking of
'hand aging' them to give them that shitty old comic print feel. But
with a nice clear coat to keep them looking good. So all that said I'm
thinking $25 plus $5 for shipping and fees. Sound good? I'm gonna keep
the run small, 20 at MOST. if I don't get that many orders I'll limit
the run to the number of orders.

Early March update
Lets do this !!
First, I just wanted to say that the black and orange pre orders are now all in and will 100% begin to ship next week !! This goes for both DX Sludge Demons and Doji Sans, YAY !!!
Second, InvisaOllies are rolling in and will also begin to ship by the end of the month, DOUBLE YAY !!
So I'm happy to finally say that these will all be sent out very soon.
Thank you all so much again for your patience. I'm hostage to the factory without much control so I really appreciate what you all have dealt with and thank you all again. It will be worth it, Im sure you will agree very soon.
Next up .....
The first Painted release of the DX Sludge Demons are still available over in the Medicom web store. This is the first time having items stuck in customs actually helped. Orders should have came to an end, but since they are still trapped the order form is still active. So you still have a few more days until its over. As for sales, they will most likely decide to go with a lottery sale so before they close the list please visit the site to enter.

What does this mean ?? This means that MVH has an official retail outlet on the west coast now !
Coming soon you will be able to purchase all MVH releases at their store location at 7571 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles, CA, 90046. So if you live close by you can diddy on over and check all releases out in person.
In addition to all MVH releases TAG will also get store specific releases designed with color ways just for them. Yep, so now you have yet another site to bookmark, hahahah.
While I'm at it I would like to give a super long in advance heads up. Start getting ready as MVH and Skinner will be taking over your Halloween weekend in LA with a show on October 27th at the Melrose location.

Yup, your heard it correctly, MVH and Skinner will be hosting a Halloween themed show. So you just know what this means, its going to get a tad silly with the candy and terror and blood and guts and ALL that fun evil stuff that the kids are into.
So book your flights now and get your Halloween costume to the dry cleaners, this is going to be an event to end all events.
Their will be everything you could wish for, Original art, prints, toys, and so much more !
As if there could be anything more to talk about, well, yes, yes there is......
Although I know this quite well in advance and a lot to take in, MVH is also talking with TAG in producing a large close to life size fiber glass Ollie as well as a possible OG Sludge Demon. Size is still yet to be determined for both but we are looking into either a 3-4 foot Ollie and a 10-12 inch tall Sludge Demon. We are still in talks but I would like to hear from you all on my mailing list if you have any interest in such a creation. I would love to hear your thoughts and if this is something you guys would love to have in your collections. We are also talking about a possible pre order package. Again this is still in the discussion stages so please, no worries and no promises.
If this is something you would be interested in I would love to hear it. Just reply to this email and I will forward you info on the project and create a special email list just for this project.
More to come though folks. Like usual there is some projects and releases in the works which will be announced before the end of the month. Im POSITIVE you guys will loose your minds over the next few releases and what the rest of this year holds !!

MVH February Update
Lets just get this party started shall we !
I'm happy to say ALL the MVH pre-ordered vinyl is starting to come in. Packaging starts this week and all orange and black vinyl pre orders will begin to ship ASAP. I would just like to go over each figure and make sure all the joints are correct and to reheat and set any body parts that may have distorted during shipping. Im also waiting on the Doji San figures to arrive which should also be this week.
Now, the good news and the bad news.
Lets just get that out of the way. There was a mishap and the factory forgot to add the pearl. I know, I was pretty upset.
The good news, the orange vinyl that I chose turned out to be much more vibrant that I had expected. So much so that I think the pearl would have looked out of place. In hand the orange is almost dayglow. I'm super happy and I think all of you who ordered will be VERY happy. Again Im sorry for the lack of pearl and I hope you understand. If you do have an issue, please contact me and hopefully we can work out any concerns.
The shot is a little dark, but they look great. The orange is so bright its hard to photograph its vibrancy !
I'm really in love with this toy and think once you all get him you will as well. There is already the 6 eye head in production as well as the Dokuro head made. Not to mention .... well lets keep some surprises shall we ....
I'm also proud to say that the first painted release will be through Medicom toy of Japan early in March.
I cant show images of yet, but if you recall this image, you should have a good feeling of what is to come :
Once I get the okay I will post up some studio shots.
I will bring both the painted Medicom releases with me to the FOE gallery show next week, so maybe if you come by I can show you a sneak peak :)
Speaking of FOE, I'm eagerly awaiting this show next week. Hopefully many of you all will make it out, and if not here are my submissions for next weeks show :
This 1 off Dokuro DX Sludge Demon will not only be the first ever sold, but its the only 1 off on this minty green vinyl. I REALLY wanted to keep this guy for my personal collection to be totally honest. I just love how well the colors work with the vinyl.
The Jumbo Gararmon is a Glow base vinyl. I replaced the original eyes for a set of high quality glass eyes. I think the end result came out fantastic and super vibrant colors over the glow vinyl are stunning in hand.
All in all things are starting to move fairly fast. I'm also expecting the clear Ollie's to start arriving this or the following week as well. Packaging is also finished and being printed now. All looks great !
More details to come and for all those on the mailing list I will keep you updated with the first American release of the DX Sludgie. I'm working to get the first release made ASAP, I think you will also enjoy as it will be on GID vinyl, and an homage to a certain laughing madman. Can you guess who ???

Pre Orders update
Hello everyone !!
This email is just to apologize to everyone for this long delay with all the pre-orders. I'm talking with my guys in Japan to try and speed this up as fast as they can.
Hopefully vinyl will start to ship from Japan to me within the week and out to you guys ASAP !

Early December Update
Hey MVH fans !!!
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all who purchased in on the pre-order for the Clear with guts Ollie. The pre-order was a huge success and, as I write this, the vinyl order has been placed and away we go !!!
I'm hoping to have these ASAP, but will keep everyone updated right here on the MVH blog.
I'm so happy to see how well this release was received, Spasm1 did an amazing job on the illustration and I couldn't be happier.
Next, the pre-orders for both the new Death Sludge Demon and Doji San. Due to unexpected set backs with jointing issues this has taken much longer than expected.
The Death Sludge Demon is now coming out of his second wax casting and heading off to the molding very soon.
The vinyl order has been placed though and once all is good will be processed immediately.
So please hold tight, all is on the way !!!!

Now...... December is all about giving back !
I'm proud to say that I was able to take proceeds from the recent clear Ollie release and make donations to both the Cancer Society of America and the Special Olympics !!

November Update
The battleship MVH returns for November !
There is just SOOooooosOOOOOOSoooooooooo much to talk about I decided to break this update into to two separate postings. This posting will be about the new goodies and dates for the new releases planned as well as an update on the Death Sludge and Doji Pre Orders. The next will be a wrap up of NYCC, and the like.
Okay, we good, great, lets get started :)
lets start this part by clearing this up .... by that I mean crystal clear Japanese vinyl !
As of late I have begun to set up collaborations with other artist I respect and have been wanting to work with ( Skinner, BLObPUS, Grody etc..) . This release MVH finds itself working with artist SpasmOne !
I have been wanting to do a paper guts cut out for Ollie for the longest time now. When I came across the work Spasm did for a contest a few years ago I knew that was it. So after a few talks he came up with the idea to print the guts he hand illustrated on clear acetate. Can you say genius !
Check this out !!!
I'm super happy with the turn out. When the light comes through the vinyl and hits the guts it comes alive. Now, its time to unleash this beast to the world !
This Saturday I will be starting the pre-orders for this crystal clear behemoth.
The Details :
Pre-Orders will begin Friday 11/18/2011 at 5:00 PM and will end Sunday 11/20/2011 at 11:59 PM. This will give everyone more than 48 hours to get their order in.
The curve ball ..... wait for it .....
In addition to this, there will be a chase version. The chase will have different color guts and will come with a half painted fade in MVH color scheme of purple, green black and red !!!
These guys will not be blind bagged, but inserted at random. So there is no guarantee what you will get, but you will get utter gut madness !
The price ... like usual its the good ol $150.00 plus shipping.
For this release its gonna be nice and simple. All you will need to do if head over to our BigCartel in the shopping area >> HERE << and place your order.
Once the pre-order is finished I will be sending the order to Japan Monday morning and will keep an update of when these will go out. Like most pre-orders, these will take longer as the order will be placed and have to be filled. This can take a month or two. This is the only downfall of having your factory overseas, but its Japanese vinyl so you know its worth it !
Next up, the GID BLObPUS Enma !!
Kaji San is at it again and for this Enma its gonna be on Glow vinyl !!!

Speaking of new goodies, how about an update on the new MVH figures.
Both Doji San and the Death Sludgie have made it through the test pull process and unfortunately there where some bugs. The bugs are being solved and should be all set very soon. I apologize for the long delay in this. Its one of those situations that just happens sometimes. I strive to make the best product that I can. So I rather wait just a tad than give you all lest than my best. Your entrusted your hard earned money into my toys and I don't want to let you down !
I really wanted to have these to everyone before December but that is definitely not going to happen. Im so sorry, but rest assured that the boxes are prepped and once they get to me they will all go out the same week !
Now, I did mention test pulls didnt I, would you like to see the pics, sure you would.
This is the first time I laid paint to this guy so its only going to get better once I work the kinks out. Even with that being said, I'm LOVING painting this toy and think the test looks pretty good.

Im thinking to kick this guy off I will be painting up a run of 1 offs on glow vinyl as well as a run. I have been in love with more neo sofubi colors and have some fitting colors ready to roll out on this guy.
I'm so excited to paint this guy and hope you are all as excited as I am.
This weekend I plan on painting up one of the Doji figures so stay tuned for that !

lets start this part by clearing this up .... by that I mean crystal clear Japanese vinyl !
As of late I have begun to set up collaborations with other artist I respect and have been wanting to work with ( Skinner, BLObPUS, Grody etc..) . This release MVH finds itself working with artist SpasmOne !
I have been wanting to do a paper guts cut out for Ollie for the longest time now. When I came across the work Spasm did for a contest a few years ago I knew that was it. So after a few talks he came up with the idea to print the guts he hand illustrated on clear acetate. Can you say genius !

I'm super happy with the turn out. When the light comes through the vinyl and hits the guts it comes alive. Now, its time to unleash this beast to the world !
This Saturday I will be starting the pre-orders for this crystal clear behemoth.
The Details :
Pre-Orders will begin Friday 11/18/2011 at 5:00 PM and will end Sunday 11/20/2011 at 11:59 PM. This will give everyone more than 48 hours to get their order in.

In addition to this, there will be a chase version. The chase will have different color guts and will come with a half painted fade in MVH color scheme of purple, green black and red !!!
These guys will not be blind bagged, but inserted at random. So there is no guarantee what you will get, but you will get utter gut madness !
The price ... like usual its the good ol $150.00 plus shipping.
For this release its gonna be nice and simple. All you will need to do if head over to our BigCartel in the shopping area >> HERE << and place your order.
Once the pre-order is finished I will be sending the order to Japan Monday morning and will keep an update of when these will go out. Like most pre-orders, these will take longer as the order will be placed and have to be filled. This can take a month or two. This is the only downfall of having your factory overseas, but its Japanese vinyl so you know its worth it !

Seriously, how is he able to lay on so much paint and keep it from looking like a crazy mess is beyond me. The colors just look so crazy and alive, its demon camo !

I think this guy is gonna make a great companion to the OG BLObPUS Ollie with the blue sprays on GID vinyl. Kaji can seriously do no wrong with Ollie !
Thats it for the big guy this month. But rest assured more plans are in the works for the new year. New arms and heads await, yup I said it !
Speaking of new goodies, how about an update on the new MVH figures.
Both Doji San and the Death Sludgie have made it through the test pull process and unfortunately there where some bugs. The bugs are being solved and should be all set very soon. I apologize for the long delay in this. Its one of those situations that just happens sometimes. I strive to make the best product that I can. So I rather wait just a tad than give you all lest than my best. Your entrusted your hard earned money into my toys and I don't want to let you down !
I really wanted to have these to everyone before December but that is definitely not going to happen. Im so sorry, but rest assured that the boxes are prepped and once they get to me they will all go out the same week !
Now, I did mention test pulls didnt I, would you like to see the pics, sure you would.
This is the first time I laid paint to this guy so its only going to get better once I work the kinks out. Even with that being said, I'm LOVING painting this toy and think the test looks pretty good.

Im thinking to kick this guy off I will be painting up a run of 1 offs on glow vinyl as well as a run. I have been in love with more neo sofubi colors and have some fitting colors ready to roll out on this guy.
I'm so excited to paint this guy and hope you are all as excited as I am.
This weekend I plan on painting up one of the Doji figures so stay tuned for that !
